FAQs
How much time do we need for photos?
A great question! The best way to work this out is to discuss your timeline with us. We can then work with you to decide when, where and how long we need to take photos. In most circumstances, we like to keep our images candid and avoid spending to much time making you pose for photos. This means that at your reception, we don’t have to set aside as much time for ‘photos’ and you can spend more time with your guests. During the couple and wedding party shoots, you can expect a bit more direction from us. We like to set aside around an hour for these shoots combined.
Should we catch up before the date of service?
Definitely worth it for the above reason ^. We want you to feel 100% comfortable working with us on the day. This way you will know who we are and exactly what to expect.
How do you take photos if the weather is unforgiving?
We do the best we can with what you feel comfortable with. There are no circumstances where we won’t be able to take any photographs.
Do you do shot lists?
Unfortunately, not. We are happy to discuss the style of images you prefer and where you would like to do photos, but we prefer not to plan much more than that. We like to work to our conditions (i.e., bad weather!) and use what we have on the day. We like our images to have a natural feel.
How many images should we expect back?
The number of images you can expect back varies depending on the size of the day, what’s happening throughout the day, the number of guests and the shooting conditions. If we had to put a number on it, we’d estimate between 50-150 photos per hour of service. We like to judge our work on the quality of images, not the quantity.
How long does it take for you to return the photos to us?
In the first week after your event, we will return 8-10 images for you to share with friends and family. The remaining images will be returned no later than 90 days after the date of service. Editing is a lengthy process; we take our time so that no image feels unfinished and we can create a high-quality product
How do we get our images?
Images are delivered via an online album and a hard copy USB.
Can we have the RAW files?
What are RAWS you might be wondering? These are the images unedited straight out of camera. RAW image files are ‘minimally processed’ to maximise creative capacity in post processing. Bottom line, these are unfinished images. For this reason, like most photographers, we chose not to share our raw images as this is not our finished work.
Do you watermark your images?
No way!
Do you travel outside of greater Adelaide?
We are happy to travel to ‘destination weddings’ outside of Adelaide. Travel costs will be determined on a case by case basis.
